FoldFinder works entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no developer server, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The app makes no network requests of its own.
FoldFinder only reads the folder you choose and, if you allow it, your photo library (all photos or only the ones you pick), and keeps its index inside the app, on your iPhone. You decide whether the index is included in your iPhone backup, and you can export it.
Photos are analysed on device (what they show and the text in them); audio recordings are transcribed on device with the speech recognition built into iOS, and sounds are recognized with the system classifier. Nothing is uploaded.
If you also use another app by the same developer that is paired with FoldFinder, the two apps can share data on your iPhone through an App Group; nothing is sent to the developer.
Search uses a model bundled with the app (EmbeddingGemma 2 by Google DeepMind, Apache License 2.0), running on device. No text is sent to Google or anyone else.
Written answers are generated on device by Apple Intelligence (Apple's Foundation Models), when available.
Deleting the app removes its data. If you linked it to F.R.I.D.A.Y., the data already shared stays in the shared space as long as another app of the group (F.R.I.D.A.Y., Foldcrumbs or FoldFinder) is still installed, and is deleted when you remove that one too.

FoldFinder funziona interamente sul tuo iPhone. Non ci sono account, server dello sviluppatore, pubblicità, strumenti di analisi o tracciamento. L'app non fa richieste di rete sue.
FoldFinder legge solo la cartella che scegli tu e, se lo permetti, la libreria foto (tutte o solo quelle che scegli), e tiene il suo indice dentro l'app, sul telefono. Decidi tu se l'indice entra nel backup dell'iPhone, e puoi esportarlo.
Le foto vengono analizzate sul telefono (cosa mostrano e il testo che contengono); le registrazioni audio vengono trascritte sul telefono con il riconoscimento vocale di iOS e i suoni riconosciuti con il classificatore di sistema. Non viene caricato niente.
Se usi anche un'altra app dello stesso sviluppatore abbinata a FoldFinder, le due app possono condividere dati sul telefono attraverso un App Group; niente viene inviato allo sviluppatore.
La ricerca usa un modello incluso nell'app (EmbeddingGemma 2 di Google DeepMind, licenza Apache 2.0), che gira sul telefono. Nessun testo viene inviato a Google o ad altri.
Le risposte scritte sono generate sul dispositivo da Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models di Apple), quando è disponibile.
Cancellare l'app rimuove i suoi dati. Se l'hai collegata a F.R.I.D.A.Y., i dati già condivisi restano nello spazio comune finché resta installata un'altra app del gruppo (F.R.I.D.A.Y., Foldcrumbs o FoldFinder), e si cancellano togliendo anche quella.
